RACHEL'S FIRST ICE SKATING

Rachel loved her first experience on ice skates (despite a couple of falls). She was a natural!

Chloe enjoyed staying warm in her stroller and slept through the whole thing!

Monday, November 22

If you've been wondering where the pictures of Chloe are...finally getting some on the blog. She's just about four and a half months old now. Rachel is figuring out how to get lots of smiles and giggles out of her, and making sure she gets lots of tummy time.

Here are a few pics from our trip to Rhode Island that other people have sent us...we'll post more after we download them.

July 4th Bike Parade!

Happy 4th of July. This morning we decorated Rachel's "buggy" and rode in Kensington's Bike Parade...

Gymnastics Medal Day

Our little gymnastics star...

Friday, May 7

YAY May 7th!

We had a perfect morning at the DC Flower Mart at the National Cathedral...carousel rides, smoothies, friends, and we even found a ladybug headband!

And tonight is Rob's big book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Bethesda...

What Would Rob Do? Now in Bookstores!

It's official! Rob's new book, "What Would Rob Do?" hit bookstores over the weekend.
Here it is on the bookshelf at the Barnes & Noble in Rockville, MD.

The Bethesda store sold out of the stock on the shelf on the first day (good sign!).
The best story so far is that the sales person who sold Rob's mom her copy, gave her a hug when she bought it!

The book signings start next week! www.WhatWouldRobDo.com

LAST HURRAH BEFORE BABY ZAZA!

We had a great time on our vacation to the Dominican Republic.
Here's our little swimsuit model posing on the beach...

And just dabbing her face with some "sand makeup"

Making sandcastles with Dad...

Putting her feet in the pool in her purple dress, "just like mommy!"

And enjoying relaxing time as a family. (Rachel refused to smile here b/c she was slightly afraid of the guy taking the picture).

Oh, and did we mention that "baby zaza" was there too? He/she liked the dominican music and was kicking like crazy, especially in the middle of the night (Anna is now 7 mos pregnant).

And we had such great beach reading...hint, hint!

Rachel gets a medal

Yesterday was the last day of gymnastics class and they gave out medals for participation. Here she is on the "podium" and admiring her medal afterward.

And here are a few other pics from this Spring...

Our trip with Amma and Bopa to Williamsburg (here we are riding the shuttle). It was so nice to visit with them!

What a nice day we spent playing in the cherry blossoms at Brookside Gardens with Abby...
We're even having fun on rainy days around here!
And of course, all we talk about these days is PAINTING!

Monday, April 5

Today Rachel discovered painting with sponges and had a great time making art in our backyard. Spring has finally arrived in Washington, DC and the big cherry blossom next to our house is in full bloom. It's pretty spectacular!

Snowpocolypse 2010

Here are a few pics from the big snowstorm. We were pretty snowed in for a couple days, so we snuggled up on the couch, made a fire in the fireplace, watched a lot of Mary Poppins, and even baked Rachel a cake.

This was how much snow we had about halfway through the storm...

Nothing stopped us from getting outside to have some fun...not even the unplowed roads and downed power lines...
Two days after the storm and there are still no commuter trains coming through town (no buses or metro either)...but it's beautiful and sunny now and perfect for bundling up and taking a stroller ride...
The big snowstorm was a lot of fun, and luckily we didn't lose power (unlike some of our friends). Kensington got almost 3 feet of snow and there is another foot forecasted to fall tomorrow.

rachel turns 2...

Rachel turned 2 on February 4th. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate.

These days her favorite things are:
*toddler gymnastics class
*eating chili, turkey pepperoni, chipotle, and of course cupcakes!
*reading books, especially Max and Ruby, Personal Penguin, and Only One You.
*sledding on a boogie board and trying to eat snow when mommy and daddy aren't looking.
*singing "Baby Beluga," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and her madeup lyrics to the Dora the Explorer theme song.

Here are a few recent pictures of her enjoying her birthday....trying on the fairy costume that her friend Ava gave her, visiting the fish and gorillas at the zoo on her birthday, eating her favorite: Mexican food, and taking her balloons into the bath with her.
